It may be your screen protector as others have pointed out, but you don't have to parry first. The standard combo is swipe tap tap tap swipe which ought to start and end with a medium.1 -

Every ROL defender used to drop 1 revive. It took way longer to beat them but it was great. When I did my actual ROL run with a 3* SL, I farmed revives for a week from WS and CM.2 -
