Possibly! They did mention a new trophy champ coming but I'm pretty sure they said it wouldn't be related to the gifting event. So not sure if that'd mean a December release1 -

Some people here might be forgetting that the past few years December has only given us 1 champ, so there is a big chance that it'll only be Onslaught(or whoever it ends up being)3 -
