Some nodes can be powered through, but there are some that you have to have a specific piece of utility to get past.2 -

lol pls ebony max isn’t the definition of utility. It’s just that his damage is so bad that’s all he has. Someone like Clair voyant or warlock is the definition of maximum utility.3 -
