Why? He can still mind control other non mutant characters and has in the comics. Champs like Ultron, Vision, Magneto, and Dormammu would be immune to the mind control.1 -

I'm playing on iPhone 6s as well, but instead of lagging for me parry just flat out doesn't work sometimes. Really screws me up.4
