I used mine on Silver Surfer. It was clearly a prestige rank up and it paid off because we're now top 30 almost top 20 and at the time we were top 45.6 -

I don't know anyone who doesn't recognize that those rewards are outdated. Yes definitely needs an update, along with Summoner advancement. Lets get some 6 star shards going for both.3
