It’s a combination of deck and skill but skill overall. Beroman has a decently strong deck but there are much stronger decks out there. He consistently places at or near the top because of skill1 -

I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if Hulkling ends up in the game later on this year taking the place of one of the eidol champions in the Titan Crystal like Gallan is next refresh2
