My guess is that you are to worried about trying to keep him in overdrive. I am a fellow p2099 user and HUGE fan, but I have caught myself being to aggressive trying to spam sp1.3 -

Half of the times I fight Annihilus he heavy spams in the corner. The only difference is that I cannot launch a special in between like the AI does. I just have to get smacked until he backs off or u…5 -
