Relocation of Parry

I thought the relocation was so that beginners could unlock the essential mastery quicker but most would say dex is more important than parry (as you don't have to block in fights if you are skilled) so now all that was done was parry was moved to 1st position but shouldn't dex be moved to the 2nd position????? So didn't you just create the same issue for dex as you did parry? Not sure this was really thought out too well. Limber should be swapped with dex.

By frontloading the tree with a mastery that takes a stony core (135 units) versus one that cost some gold pittance, you increase your revenue by pressuring the noobs to spend to get to the rest of the tree. Economics 101.

Except that the first rank in parry doesn’t cost anything to unlock.

Actually, Parry's new cost structure means that you can unlock the first Rank of Parry without any Mastery Cores. The point of this change was to introduce Summoners to a pretty game changing Mastery early on, and to show you what a difference Masteries can make.

Parry is free to unlock now for beginners.
  • Do we loose a mastery point?

I lost one mastery point, just took a notice it. Not sure if that is a bug or due to the parry relocation or due to me adjusting the masteries recently.

Yes but shouldn't dex be the same? Parry and dex are pretty much must have masteries for 99% of the content and should be at the beginning of the tree. You don't really need limber at all.
