Avengers self objectives and rewards

Recently ranked up three-star Hawkeyes to rank 3. Received the notification of the reward for three-star avenger up to rank 3. Then proceeded rank him up to rank 4 max. But when I went to collect the rewards, which I thougtht would be two, I saw to my surprise that the final milestone was not credited. I lost the reward because I didn't claim the one before it first! How is that logical?

Can someone explain that to me?

    The in-game mail regarding this event clearly state that you must collect objective rewards before carrying onto the next Objective. Regardless, I'm sorry to hear you missed out on your last reward due to this.
