**WINTER OF WOE - BONUS OBJECTIVE POINT**
As previously announced, the team will be distributing an additional point toward milestones to anyone who completed the Absorbing Man fight in the first step of the Winter of Woe.
This point will be distributed at a later time as it requires the team to pull and analyze data.
The timeline has not been set, but work has started.
There is currently an issue where some Alliances are are unable to find a match in Alliance Wars, or are receiving Byes without getting the benefits of the Win. We will be adjusting the Season Points of the Alliances that are affected within the coming weeks, and will be working to compensate them for their missed Per War rewards as well.

Additionally, we are working to address an issue where new Members of an Alliance are unable to place Defenders for the next War after joining. We are working to address this, but it will require a future update.

Iron Man IW vs Havok

Havok's plasma detonation doesnt have an effect on champs with an armor up buff but just got wrecked by havok when using Iron Man and also having 3 molecular Armor buffs. Is this bug or intentional because iron man's armor buffs are passive

IMIW does not have armor up buffs, he has armor up passives. Passives are not buffs.

Armor up buffs and armor up passives are different but it's STILL armor up so why is Iron Infinity affected

Because havok requires an armour up buff to be stopped

Because its not a buff, like the previous person explained to you.
You need armor up buffs. No passive armor will work against him

because they wanted to make him that way. His spotlight requires buffs, not passives.

Cause its exactly like you said, armor up buffs and armor up passives are different, to bypass havok you need armor up buffs

Ugh...the loop holes in this game are SO STUPID

Its not a loop hole. It is a clear stated ability that shouldn't cause missunderstanding if you know the differences between a buff and a passive ability

The armor up being PASSIVE is Exactly why it's a loophole. It's still armor up but because it's PASSIVE it doesn't apply to certain situations...that sounds loophole-ish to me lmao

Because it is a passive, it can't be nullified or affected the same way buffs are.
Buffs work one way and suffer on some scenarios, while passive abilities work another way and also suffer in different scenarios.
  • Hey there, as some have mentioned, Armor Up Buffs are different than Armor Passive Effects and Havok's ability specifies that the damage is only prevented by Armor Up Buffs. Buffs are a type of effect that can be distinguished by the light ring around the border of their icon and, as some others have mentioned, can be Nullified or prevented by Staggers. Passive Effects are a separate type of effect that don't have a light border around their icon; Passive Effects are unable to be Nullified and cannot be prevented with Stagger.
