AW pre-fight Bug

What's wrong with this alliance war pre-fight bug? Twice times my pre-fight failed to activate this war and died. One was slow debuff with Stealth Spidey to fight a Thing mini. Another one was White Magneto pre-fight on a boss island fight against Spider-Ham using Apocalypse. I'm learning I have to back out of the fight after the pre-fight is activated and go back in again for it to work, but it's frustrating having to forget and dealing with consequences. That's not how it's supposed to be. I took a break many seasons ago from alliance activities and this problem was there, I'm back this season and this same problem still exist.
What is so difficult about fixing this bug. At least is it possible to introduce a prompt for champions with pre-fight when they're about go into a fight to ask to activate pre-fight or not. To benefits to this, it'll notify you in case you forgot to activate pre-fight. Secondly, if it didn't stick after activate hopefully the prompt might remind you to back out of the fight screen and go back in.
This is so frustrating and unfair having a plan and it being messed up by something like this. Pls don't let this be the norm, after activating pre-fight back out and go back in again, that's not what we're used to.
