As average users we should not see that. I do understand why you say that but I think I would prefer if they keep it the way it is. I asked a player if he was websnatcher and I got flagged twice. I liked being able to see who it was. I also think that people that flag others frivolously should get infractions.

I also believe that one should be held accountable for their own actions so there is no need to hide the button.
So I just opened *******'s profile, and I'm sorry for this slight derailment, but dude you have: 2 abusive posts. 26 posts marked spam. and 22 posts marked LOL. It's like 3 days into the new forums.

People would have the green light to report anyone just because they don't like them or they think that their avatar is stupid.

Some just Flag because they don't like the person. It's up to the Mods to review them and decide what applies or not. Having it visible just invites friction.

If someone reports me for some unexplainable reason, like you've done to me, I deserve the right to ask why the heck you reported me. And again, if you have no defense for why you reported someone, why would you report them? If you feel justified in reporting them, then you shouldn't have a problem backing it up.

See, now you're making the issue personal. If I feel that what someone says is inappropriate, I will report it. I don't care who it is. That's my right. This is a prime example of why it needs to be anonymous. We are not her to Moderate or fight amongst ourselves. That's why we have Mods. I don't have to explain why I feel something is inappropriate to anyone. We could also discuss the possibility of someone threatening another in a private message over what they report, but we will move on from the subject. It causes problems to have it visible.

How did I aggressively question your rights? I said that you probably shouldn't say something is inappropriate if it isn't. I said you shouldn't lie, and I violently violated your rights? Really?

MayhemEffect wrote: » both of you are getting into something personal, I do not care. crusher if the only thing that stopped you from reporting things was the fact it would have been visible you need to rethink your own approach to dealing with people. GW you should be able to explain why you think something is inappropriate even if it is anonymous. Not to us, but if a mod asks for more details be prepared. If you can not do that then you are reporting frivolously. And FYI certain topics are not off limits because you feel the are, there needs to be a reason that would apply to everyone.
