Hulks dash against medusa heavy attack

So here is what I have found out a lot of times with the classic hulk when u bait a AW boss Medusa with living strands active u dash the fist part then on the 2nd part 90% of the time u are to far back to land your heavy on her why is this? Has anyone here noticed this and if so please say something so Kabam can adjust it.
