    Depends on if he/she left and came back. It's not just 5 period. It's 5 with the same alliance without having left and came back of 5 consecutive wars at the very end.

    You're fine as long as you stay until you get the rewards then leave as long as you did 5 with no leaving or getting kicked.

    However at any point if you left or were kicked within in the last little under two weeks then you get nothing.
