True Strike buff doesn't work anymore...sorta

Now I'm not sure about Cable's True Strike that he gains from his sp3 but Karnak's True Strike from his sp1 certainly doesn't work anymore to champs that can gain Evasion buff.
Champs that can gain Evasion buff are Spiderman symbiote, Miles Morales and NIghtcrawler (If I missed any champions, please comment below).
However, True Strike seems to work to any built-in passive evasion champion like Spiderman classic and Nightcrawler (Yes, NC has a built-in evasion and can gain additional Evasion buff for some unknown and wasteful reasons).
I haven't tested much further on Spiderman classic but based on my experience so far, his evasion doesn't trigger at all when True Strike buff is on.
I would like to remind anyone that is reading this post about True Strike description: "True Strike allows the champion to ignore Armor, Resistances, and Passive Evade effects"
If you are saying that Passive Evade doesn't apply to the additional Evasion buff gain, then it is nonsense. Even prior to 12.0 update, True Strike buff doesn't have any problem at all but it is now a problem since it doesn't work the way it should.
I can't remember when it started to not working as it should because I haven't played with Karnak quite often nowadays but it certainly is a problem now.
If anyone that is planning to use KARNAK in the new Web-slinger challenge, it will be an issue. Opponents would have a chance to evade your attack and do a counterattack which will lead to your KO.
It has been like this for quite a while and I thought it would be fixed in the latest 14.0 patch but looks like I read it wrong. Kabam has never mentioned to fix this issue or perhaps they never knew it's a problem, who knows? Regardless, I hope that this problem will come to their table to be fixed in the near future.

I'm sorry. Did you just say that if passive evade doesn't include non-passive evades that is nonsense?

Evasion reduction that is applied via attacks has had a problem with evasion buffs since day 1 with Spidey Sym. The only thing that actually changed with true strike is its description which now reflects the fact it is for passive evades.

Karnak's L3 daze(?) will reduce evasion buffs since it's a modifier placed on the opponent, like Iceman's cold snap. Quake's (and others) concussion should do the same.

Passive Evasion (Original Spider Man) is not the same as an Evasion Buff (Symbiote Spider Man)

    Pretty simple.

I'm sorry if my English has caused any confusion. What I mean by that statement is that if you are saying the Evasion buff that the champ gain will overpower True Strike hence making True Strike doesn't function properly, then it doesn't make sense. It's because the description of True Strike is that it allows the champ to ignore Evasion. As I mentioned, Karnak's True Strike didn't have any problem before but now it is. I don't know when it happened but it is happening now. As of right now, I myself don't know if the Evasion buff is in Passive Evasion category anymore. At the moment, it is as if Evasion buff acts like addition evasion chance that would ignore True Strike.
Karnak doesn't have much of special abilities and buffs, and by taking the meaning of True Strike away from him will make him less likely to be used by the players. True Strike is a unique ability to Karnak and it should stay that way. That's also the reason why I love to use Karnak when the time comes for his need.

I don't think it is a question of True Strike being overpowered if it affects other things. But it is apparently working as intended that it doesn't work on Miles Morales because those abilities aren't considered passive evades.

Honestly, I'm not going to defend Kabam's writing staff: they are pretty bad. It is almost impossible to figure out how anything works or what the intent of anything is by the in-game descriptions. For example, Miles Morales' description says each charge of Spider sense adds a "passive XXX chance to Evade." I guess we're supposed to parse that as saying the ability is not a passive, so the evade is not a passive, even though the chance to evade is described as passive?
