Rank up both, because both are good. They have completely different abilities so it's up to you.

Magik is one of the best power controllers out there, making her a very strong attacker. sp1 nullifies a buff and does extra damage. sp2 power steals and locks. sp3 has increased attack for every buff the opponent has. Magik also activates limbo during specials, so any damage taken in that time (for example, bleed) will be rewound after the special ends.

Most people label proxima as only good for rol/lol, but this isn't tru. First of all, a 4 star isn't viable in LoL anyways. In everyday questing, proxima will be a good counter to evade champs, as well as autoblock. She has different missions (parry an opponent, knock down an opponent, intercept an opponent) which will grant true accuracy and prowess. With true accuracy she ignores evade and autoblock, and prowess increases special attack damage. She can also activate safeguard when blocking projectiles, reduce ability accuracy while blocking (I think?), heal block, and stun. Mostly she is good because of crazy special attack damage.

In my opinion, since you seem to be a newer player, magik is a safer option. Proxima has a higher skill cap and is a bit more complicated to use, while magik has always been one of the best champs in the game ever since she got buffed a while ago.

Prioritize magik 101%. She was my first r5 4* and I use her almost every day. She is useful in so many situations
