Symbiod not taking extra damage as a defender.

Does the global buff only work as an attacker? He absolutely does not receive 200% damage as a defender. Is this working as intended?

    Some people say he does, but when I fought one as the boss I didn't notice him taking any extra damage

    If it’s causing you to die often then yes.

    Lol, yeah I brought my 4/55 sparky up to 7 poise charges expecting to see some massive damage against a mini boss symbiote, but nope. 1% at a time, very clearly not taking 200% damage. Was a long ass fight that killed my sparky on block damage alone

    If you notice, the global node isn’t actually present for the main boss. It’s outgoing from there to every other node but not itself. So the symbioid in theory should be a good boss killer because it won’t suffer the 200% increased damage.

    Once again:
    Symbioid as an attacker gets 200% more damage - if you don't get hit, no problems
    Symbioid as a defender does not get a penalty - however, just like in old AQ, lack of an SP3 means you can slap him silly without having to worry about baiting specials, and his 2 specials are sub-Sabretooth avoidable.
    If you have him at R5 and the rest of your attack party is 5/50s, he's still your best attacker.
    Definitely not worth breaking up any trinity to make room for tho.
