What's the news on this? Are they back in use? If not, when will they be back?

it probably wont some of the synergies they made will break aw defense

They could add in another line in the synergie description, indicating that they will not work in AW defense. Would not be that difficult I guess.

There is an issue that needs to be fixed before synergies will work correctly in Alliance Wars Defense. This has been something that we've been working on, and are going to continue to work on until we get it fixed. When we have any updates, we'll be sure to let everyone know.
