Now. If you wait, you risk pulling 6* Hulkbuster. Most of the awesome new champs in there need to be duped anyway.

I opened a basic 6* crystal two days ago.
I found Ghost (and yes, I have a duped 5* Wasp).

A member of my alliance also opened a basic crystal the same day. He found Void.

Lesson is: good champs can be found also in basic crystals, like trash can be found in featured, and viceversa. But at least from the basic it will come at a lower price.

According to Frontline MCOC the next additions to the 6* basic pool is on June 29th, not before. And they have a pretty good track record predicting both when the addition happens as well as which champs get added. Here's the info:
