question about willpower

Ok, so I have liquid courage maxed out which drains .6% health per second. I also have willpower maxed which recovers .7% health per second along with recovery maxed which adds 15% of health recovered. So why do they drain and recover the same tick per tick? Can someone explain this to me please?

Poison reduces healing abilities by 30% for each stack

The reason is not readily available unless you read “the manual” via the support pages or are familiar with poison via Abom’s description.
