Can’t gift crystals to person on friends list.

When I tried to gift a crystal to someone on my friends list, it won’t let me. I hit the crystal, hit next and click on box next to friend name but the confirm tab to send it is greyed out and unclickable.
We are both a level 40 and above. Please help.
