Gifting event rank rewards

Anyone know what EACH individual needs to qualify for rank rewards? Had a rather confusing exchange with support today where they mentioned you needed 20,000 points for rank rewards. That sounds right for the ally as a whole but can anyone confirm that there isn’t a minimum you need for rank rewards besides scoring some amount of points for the event? Nothing was mentioned in the original announcement outside of indivual milestones requirements

Hopefully looking for a mod response to clear this up.
