Corvus true strike isn't getting activated

I have Proxima in my team and I am in story quest 5.2.3 ( NC path ) .

He evaded and I Knocked him down with my heavy . I got the charge in fight but didnt get true strike .

Someone else facing this issue ?

You say you got the persistent charge, but did you get the cruelty buff? 5.2.3 has a buffet global node, so if buffet wasn't on cooldown, it would've immediately removed the cruelty and true strike buffs as soon as they triggered.

It could had been due to buffet node like the previous player mentioned. Other than that I don't see why it wouldn't trigger
