Breaking ToS since you are altering the game in some way. My android phone allows me to reduce resolution naturally but I choose to play on highest with 0 issues.

(if changing screen resolution is all it does... and no, I have never used this app or know anything else about it except what OP stated). How would this be a violation of TOS, it is not changing the game. It is only changing the resolution at which your device is displaying. Many devices out there run different screen res that others, based on its size (phone vs tablet), how old they are, how high-end they are, or are they the more wide-screen dimensions (some Samsung) versus a little more square’ish like Apple.

On PC's you could always change the screen res down to running as low as original PC 640x480, etc, instead of maximum res that monitor supports. On HDTV's or from your connected tuner devices like Cable or Sat, you can have the TV display at lower than max screen res. Changing tablet/phone screen res would be similar (no matter whether the device OS has settings to configure it, or if you have to use a Widget or other to change your resolution). This isn’t changing the game in my opinion.

Because it's another app changing how the game acts. If it were an ability on the phone, then no issue. But you can't use 3rd party software to alter the game and changing the resolution of the game using another app does just that.
