Random Glitches

Recently one of my friend's have experienced a few glitches within the game. When trying to fight Star-Lord in Act 1 Chapter 3, the game crashes. This is the same when he tries to upgrade his 3 star Black Panther Civil War. Has anyone experienced similar problems, and if so, does anyone know how to fix it?
