tips on beating Sinister in Master EQ

I've beaten Sinister twice now, but took a few revives and heals. Can't keep spending that much with several path to go to 100% explore it. I've watched a video on Sparky kinda 'stunlocking' Sinister against the wall. I tried that and had him tied down for a bit, then he escaped. Maybe I need more practice playing aggressive like that, because I usually play defensively and depend on parry/stun. I'd call myself an average player, with parry, dexterity, baiting, etc. but probably could do better at simply evading. I've tried to build up poise with Sparky, but then you make 1 mistake and you're dead.
Also, is it Sinister's sp1 that is a big red wave that does massive damage? Can you even block that? I thought I read his abiliites and didn't think it said unblockable, but I thought I tried to block it and still took a lot of damage.

I've got good champs, usually use a combination of these:

Blade 4* 5/5 duped
Sparky 4* 5/5 unduped
Corvus 4* 5/5 unduped
Luke Cage 4* 5/5 duped
Magik 4* 5/5 unduped
Domino 4* 5/5 unduped

and to a lesser extent, these too:
- Emma 4* 4/4 unduped
- Iceman 4* 4/4 unduped

Any suggestions? Maybe on other chars to use? I have plenty of guys that often get suggested like void, AA, quake, but only at 3*; several more 4* but r3 like Gwenpool, etc.

Just use a heal block champion. Sentinel with Iceman synergy will do the trick. Ultron will even be a good option, I think the SP are energy based and as he's bleed immune, you don't have to worry about the bleeds coming back at you. Vision is also an option. Heck, my Ghulk worked pretty fine as well.

Don't use Corvus or anyone that crits a lot. That allows him to regen like crazy.

Read his abilities. Use a champ that has low crit rate and/or heal blocks. His L1 is extremely easy to evade and punish. I don’t mean this to make you feel bad, but baiting his L1 is the best strategy. Very simple timing. Just practice.

Developer Notes: Bringing a Heal Blocking champion will be essential when fighting Mister Sinister when placed on complimentary AW Nodes. Another important note is that Damaging Debuffs will not trigger Sinister’s Regeneration, but run the risk of being Transferred to you as a result of his first Special Attack.
Developer Notes: It’s important to remember that the Transfer of Damaging Debuffs cannot be prevented. Definitely reconsider bringing any epic Bleed champions in against him.

Going to test it out. :)
