While yes, we could probably use an update to the calendar, I don't think glory should be added. Glory is earned specifically from doing AQ, and I kinda like that the only way to get it is to participate in AQ. Same with battle chips.. If you want them, you have to work for them.

Unless it has changed, log-ins and sessions are part of the metrics used to evaluate apps (factored into “active users” among other things). So log-ins actually have some value for Kabam, meaning there’s quid pro quo.

You can value your time in any way you want, but you don't get to tell anyone you spend it on that they owe you for it. Kabam, nor any other game operator, owes you something for the time you spend on their game, any more than you owe me anything for the time I spent reading your post.

Also, "logins" don't have value to Kabam in the sense you mean. Kabam doesn't report them, so they can't directly monetize them. It doesn't magically make the game more valuable. Kabam uses logins as an internal metric to measure the health of their game, but that has to do with what game operators call "engagement" not value. It is a tool used to retain players.

Most critically: the calendar isn't a reward for your time, or payment for your time. It is a game balance tool used to reduce the slope of the player population progression curve. It is wrapped up in loyalty reward wrapping paper, but that's just decoration, that's not its actual game design function. This relates to the fundamental difference between an incentive and a reward. Those two things might look similar, but they are completely different things.

Ok they should increase the *rewards* when they make things more costly or harder.

Cool come back when they increase the cost or make it harder and ask for an increase

They just lowered aq map costs
Aw costs are the same
Arena no cost
Events no cost
Ranking champions same cost as before.

So then again when those costs go up tour complaint might become valid.

Our complaints do carry weight. Do you want the same outdated calendar for when Act 6 is coming around? We get about, what, 50k in Gold every month, maybe? It’s outdated.

Actually thinking it out since with difficulty the log in should scale since the only change was aq costs being lowered the calendar should get worse.

Appreciation rewards are to encourage people to play monthly.
