1.25m but a member played 900k and got it

That definitely sounds like you are in the veteran's bracket (60+ days since joining) and your alliance mate is in the intermediate or even beginner bracket (0-30, 30-60 days since joining). Neither of you scored anywhere near Korg's cutoff in the veteran's bracket, which was around 2.7 million.

OK so I need to start playing 2.7m and more to get korg. Lol cool

2.7m is the very minimum...cutoff was 2 699...
