I think I remember Tony Stark saying "You are an avenger now" to Stark Spiderman in Infinity war. Was Tony lying about it or Kabam doesn't think he is ready yet.?

    Well they do matter, when his movie came out and he was released he declined being an avenger.

    Then mike stated they aren’t looking at changing tags anytime soon.

    Let's do this one last time (quote for Into The Spider Verse) that is the Homecoming version and in homecoming he denied the Iron Spider suit and becoming an Avenger. He becomes an Avenger in Infinity War with the Iron Spider suit but this champ is the homecoming one. Sorry if i sound aggressive but this is a frequent and easy to answer question.
