If you are asking whether we should be able to upgrade the star level of our champs the answer is yes. Just pull the higher star level from a crystal.

I would’ve liked this idea if it had been implemented when 5*s were released. Now I feel it would be too hard to balance with other in-game economic factors.

Get a 3* Corvus and take him to 5*.
Then what's the need of having 5* Crystals.
