4* featured arena - is there an improved strategy?

I tried the 4* featured arena for only the second time and I managed to reach the infinite streak and stopped at 1m point mark.

I used this method, failed at first attempt.

First attempt - this failed to get to infinite streak; lost on round 16
Round 6-12 - 2x 4/30 and 1x 4* 1/1
Round 13-15 - 2x 4/50 and 1x 4* 1/1
Round 16 - 2x 4/50 and 1x 4* 1/1 (opponent was 2x 5* 4/55 and 1x 5* 5/55)

Second attempt - got to 1m points mark keeping streak till round 28 and stopped
Round 16 - 2x 4/40 and 1x 4* 1/1 (forgot to take screenshot)
Round 17 - 2x 5* 2/35 and 1 4* 1/1 (opponent was 3x 5* 4/55)
Round 18 - 2x 4/50 and 1x 4* 1/1 (opponent was 1x 5* 4/55 and 2x 5* 5/65)
Round 19 - 2x 4/50 and 1x 4* 1/1 (opponent was 3x 5* 4/65)
Infinite stread started at round 20 (which was a surprised as I was expecting it only next round).

Even though I got past on second try, I think the fights are still very tough.
1/ Can I receive pointers to be able to do this a little bit easier (I don't have any 5* rank 3 yet)?
2/ At round 20, is using 3* 4/30 doable?

Only with two 4/40s or one 5/50 equivalent champ. At least that’s what I always do to be safe.

I found if you stick with champs above PI 2000 you should be fine. The max PI you’ll face should be around 6000, so that’s basically my skill cap. If you mess up, you can always just restart the streak with 3* champs anyways

In 4* featured arena, 3* champs are not allowed.

It's based on PI, same with Cat Arenas. The amount of Max 5*s in the game has increased. You need a higher Total PI. Around 10-11k.

i play mostly 4* Arena and my winning streak is 34. what does infinite streak mean? Does people go higher then that 100 above?

Infinite is 21 and above.

Infinite streak means you can continuously play round after round in Arena without losing 2 matches and having to start all over again.

Going over 100 rounds (each round with three fights) is easy for Summoner having many high tier champs.

Once you reach Win Streak=15, there is no need to do Unbalanced (2 high, 1 low) anymore. You DO need to meet higher overall rating at Streak 15/16/17, and can drop a little once 18/19, than what it finally needs to be once at 20.

Only reason to still do unbalanced around 15-19 (0-based Streak=## numbers) is if you don't have enough semi-high champs to field full teams. But if unbalanced, the 2 you plan to win with must be super-high because you get death matches and you hope to just overpower them anyways (and if you have those super-high heroes, then you probably have enough other semi-high ones to use insread). Better to just spread out your 5/50 and 4/40 (meeting whatever the current rating is for those matches) and get opponents that are of same rating.

Unbalanced “before” Streak=15 gives opponents that are beatable at only 1 (or sometimes 2) ranks higher than you own). Unbalanced “at, and after” Streak=15 will give you Death Matches against Max teams.

This is important. Once you are in infinite, pi matters. You can do a 4/40 and two 3/30 if the pi is high enough. It use to be 10, now I think it is over 10.5. I go with 11k to be safe.

Round 16 - 3x 4* 5/50 (opponent was 4* 4/40, 4* 5/50, 5* 3/45)
Round 17 - 3x 4* 5/50 (opponent was 2x 5* 2/35, 1x 5* 3/45)
Round 18 - 3x 4* 5/50 (opponent was 5* 2/35 and 2x 5* 3/45)
Round 19 - 3x 4* 5/50 (opponent was 2x 4* 3/30, 1x 5* 3/45)
Round 20 - 3x 5* 2/35 (opponent was 1x 4* 3/30, 2x 4* 4/40) --> infinite streak starts here

Think I got it. Problem is I have to wait for the refresh as I have only 6 4* at 5/50.
Maybe, I can try 4/40 at round 16 as assess whether I can get through.

Very risky to use 3x 4☆ 4/40 or 3x 5☆ 2/35 at Round 16 & 17.

Correct, at round 16 (streak=15) use two 5/50 and a 4/40 for couple rounds, then maybe single 5/50 with couple 4/40 for couple more rounds, then 4/40 teams. (or 5* equivalent levels to their 4* counterparts). Also keep in mind using all of them from the lower rating end of your 4/40 pool may cause it to act as if some were 3/30. So not only rank level, but also Rating among those ranks, are important.

Of course the easy way is having a bunch of 5* Rank-4 and 5* max Rank-5 heroes, or even 4* 5/50 if doing 4* Feature (which doesn't match 6* Thanos/Kang), it's basically just like 3* arena (or 4* Basic Arena), just use all your tops because opponents are also limited to that same upper max for that Star/Level Hero as well.

But for other people who don't have many at such a rank (and even worse in 5* Feature where 6* max Thanos/Kang appear), they probably have to do “unbalanced” to get to 15, and they also need to watch whet their strength is during streak also (if they don't have 2 hours worth of using 5* r2+ and 4* 4/40+ heroes).

@winterthur, congrats hitting 4m in 4* Feature.

Not working. I tried 3x 4* 4/40 on round 17 (T1A) and was plundered.
Seems like have to go with 3x 4* 5/50.

I have heaps of reasonable 4* that I just wont take to R5 so I try to save power drainers and heavy hitters for the danger rounds. If im not feeling it, just refresh top 4* for a few rounds to get through.

you can gradually reduce the number of 5/50s in round 16-20, e.g rd 16: 3 x 4* 5/50; Rd 17: 2x 4* 5/50 +1 4* 4/40; Rd18-20: 1x 4* 5/50+ 2 x 4* 4/40 . I use 5 star equivalent and have to test several times to find the best combination based on my roaster when I didn't have abundant 5* 3/45 and above.

Well, looks like it is an old thread, maybe the above is irrelevant now. But if you do around 4.3M instead of 4M, you can probably get 1-10% rank reward

Made it to 1%-10% bracket.

Averaging 54k points per round and 7 cycles of 36 (27 at rank 2) champs.

To reduce grind time, need to take the 9 champs to rank 2, which means trying to get 18 TB4C and 45 T1A.

Looks like couple of months to go before reaching QOL grinding.
