Yeah... it was meant to fix these kind of issues:

IMO, it should have been just a shadow behind the text, and it would have looked better.

Idk both have a sort of haze type filter that makes it look unbearably fuzzy for my screen. I liked the old crisp ones better. Or at least switch the Annihilus with the HT one as login vs loading

Human Torch on loading screen looks like he was done as part of Robot Chicken show (and no, that's not a compliment, at least regarding this, lol)

Or maybe Kabam Thrillson scribbled him with crayons while hiding under Groggy's desk.

And agree, wow, the Marvel/Fury one was fabulous.
