Languor + Power Drain

How are you guys dealing with the power drain + languor lane in chapter 3 of the uncollected event quest?
I have Magik but her power drain is too far and doesn't completely drain opponent's power.
I have no Hawkeye or Vision :(

Other counters/strategies?

    I thought it only drains your power if you get hit by the special attack?

    No. Node says "Defender's special attacks drain up to 100% power". Nothing about having to make contact.

    Oh okay. Wasn't aware that the special attack has to actually hit you. It's manageable then.
