This defender was skipped in AW, how can this be?

As you will see from the screen shots, in our current AW this attacker skipped one of our defenders. Why has this happened?

    Probably just a timing issue between refreshing screen, like swapped out to another app and then came back to game, but someone had fought and moved along while you were switched in another app. Happens every now and then.
