War and Item Use

This has no real relevance now but wasn't there a time a few years ago when using items in war counted against you? Meaning using potions (revives and health potions) used to work against you.. Is there somewhere I can find this out? Need to know for personal reasons.. Thanks!

That has never been the case. But in the past it was every time you died gave points to the opponent. Now that is changed to attack bonus. After dying 3 times you don’t lose more points .. you lost all attack bonus so now you see people just reviving instead of also healing up at that point making some inflated death counts for example on mini’s and bosses

I seem to remember my leader at the time telling my alliance not to use items during war. Potions and revives because it gave the other team points. I just don't remember exactly and its bugging me lol

It is possible this happened. It is just that alliance leaders are often wrong.

I remember that, but it was mostly revives they were hellbent on you not using

There were also people who used to think that if they revived then it would not give the other team points for being KO, because you weren’t KO'd anymore 😀

There have never been penalties for Item Use. Defender Kills used to be a scoring metric. If you K.O.'d, you gave the opposition Points. Currently, we have Attack Bonus as a metric. You get 3 Bonuses per Node, of 80 Points each. You K.O., and you lose a Bonus, until the Attack Bonus is 0.

I know how it works now. I just was hoping to be able to find out the scoring system at that time and how using items worked against you
