AI Special Attacks During My Attacks

Any word on the AI firing off specials while player champs are mid-attack? Here’s a fun example of Aegon ignoring an attack and firing off a special in the middle of one of my hits. It sure looks like I should have landed that attack & continued my combo. Instead, I whiffed & got wrecked. It seems related to a bug where the AI continues attacking after death.
