Enough is enough

I'm landing heavy attacks but the enemy just ignores them even though I have finished the heavy attack or I am halfway trough it the enemy just uses a special or normal hit which interrupts my attack and negates it. I get that it's a "stronger" attack and takes longer to perform... but when I'm already striking the opponent, or have already struck him (past tense) it should be doing damage not giving the computer the free chance at a special or 5 hit combo red carpet opportunity.

This is getting extremely annoying!!! I have tested this MULTIPLE times; I can guarantee many more times than your team of testers. Conclusive evidence supports that I have found I can sometimes pull off heavy attacks ONLY within the first 5-10 hit combos at the beginning of the fight. (The times I can not perform them within the first 1-10 hits of a combo at the beginning of the fight it was laggy and I was dropping blocks and combos frequently). Otherwise once they get that first special bar and for the remainder of the fight it is borderline impossible to execute the heavy attack.
Interruption by either special move or just a normal hit.

This issue happens on and off of wifi, I have an iPhone 6s, everything is up to date for cellular and game softwares. I'm curious to see what the game team has been doing about this issue and how many people it actually affects.

if you perform heavy while opponent is not stunned, he wil often punch you, interrupting your heavy attack.
