Doing so in the main thread typically works. they dont like having an ungodly number of threads for the exact same thing, especially when there is already a primary thread for it.

Nope. A vast majority of negative comments stated in any way that shows your level of disgust, anger, dismay or what not is deemed "not constructive" and is deleted. Negative emotion is frowned upon by the moderators who care more about cleaning up the negativity than actually answering questions and solving problems.
