Load time causing disconnect in AW

I was waiting to battle a hyperion in war, and the load screen was taking forever. I waited for a solid 5 minutes until my phone died, and i lost half the health on my champ without even fighting once. Why is this allowed to happen in the game and why hasn't kabam tried to fix the horrible crashes/slowdown/bugs that we've been getting in spades for the past month?

I started my first fight and app crashed. I was using Wolverine, so will try to heal him back in subsequent fights.
