Wasp Evade [Merged Threads]

Wasp used to shrug off debuffs then evade as her ability stated:

Wasp has a 8% chance to shrug off all Damaging Debuffs other than Bleed, then shrink to Counter Attack, Evading the opponent’s attack and inflicting Shock, dealing 1384 Energy Damage over 8 seconds. This ability does not activate if Wasp is about to Parry an attack.

It seems though that with the new patch this has changed to only shrug off the debuffs when she successfully evades, which means she would not/should not be able to evade something like iceman.

Now people are saying she is still evading iceman like her previously worded ability would allow, so I am not sure which is the bug the wording or the effect, but since the wording had to be changed perilously I am going to assume she is not longer meant to evade iceman.

It should be any damage over time debuff ... Either they changed it and now is "nerfed", or they just forgot to add other debuffs in there

Nope nevermind, just tested it and she still evades Iceman, despite the fact that it doesn't say she purifies Cold Snap... she does purify Cold Snap.

Yeah looks like they just forgot to list Cold Snap, because it definitely still works on Cold Snap.

She does not do it that way, she purifies the debuffs, then afterwards she evades.

It looks like you have it backwards. Reading the text it says any time Wasp successfully evades an attack, she purifies. That would mean she has to evade in order to purify which she shouldn’t be able to do with Coldsnap

This wording has changed and appears to be in error or they are nerfing her. here is the wording until recently:

it did not stop hers, because it was shrugged off before she evaded. People used to post bug reports because they did not understand the order. The wording has changed, and if that is the new intended effect it would be a nerf for her.

Ye also it’s no longer all damaging debuffs i never used wasp but before was she able to shrug debuffs like black iso debuff from kingpin

the only part that is misleading is that it says anytime she evades she does that, which could include dexterity. How she now shrugs off debuffs is not misleading, it says she does it after a successful evade, meaning that if she cannot evade she cannot shrug them off. That being said I have a post in bugs and known issue to see if this was an intended nerf or a mistaken change in wording.

Because she purifies debuffs before she attempts the evade.

The way her abilty works is
Step 1. Purify all damage over time abilties (this includes coldsnap)
Step 2. Evade.

You are basing your belief of the steps being in the reverse order. If she evaded first and then purified coldsnap would stop her.

here is how the ability read before this patch, what they are reverting to:

How about all other DoT debuffs missing from her description? Like Punisher 2099 sp3 debuff, Loki curse, havoc feedback, etc.
Changing the description like this made it more confusing and musleading due to the lack of info

Oh okay, it says on the picture provided in the 1st comment that whenever she successfully evades, she removes.
