Magneto taking thorns damage???

So I used my 2015 useless mutant gem on Magneto and yes he doesn't take damage from Korg but he does take damage from Electro?! I heard he's supposed to be good against him and not take damage right?

Magneto deals energy damage but still makes contact with the defender. Korg’s damage back is negated from energy damage where Electro’s damage back is only negated from doing non-contact hits such as IMIW first medium hit which is a blast.
