Off season matchmaking

Are we the only ones that noticed that matchmaking acts diferently during off season?

While the war season matchmaking takes into consideration (obviously) prestige and war rating, the offseason mathmaking considers only the war rating (like the old one).

It's very unpleasant when you want to train for the next season on the new map and you get matched as 15M ali against TOP 33M ali. This issue forces us to don't play aliance wars during offseason...

Can you take a look into it? The matchamking acts differently during the war season and off season.

Yes I have noticed this with my alliance as well. Seems to me like Kabam is intentionally switching up the algorithms for preseason and on-season.

I think @GluteusMaximus hit the nail on the head. It isn't matchmaking doing this. It's the lack of options as a result of all the aforementioned situations. The new map causing various Alliances to dial back. Just the fact it is the off season and some don't run full swing 3 BGs all 3 Wars. So naturally, the matches will be different than what you would normally see in the Season when more are all in. If you take into consideration all those factors, you should understand why you're more likely to get an odd match during the Off Season.
