Skill Champs No Longer Bypassing Safeguard?!

I finally decided to take on the RttL today. Everyone at this point knows that safeguard can be countered with the correct skill champs. Black Widow, Elektra, etc.
This isn't the case anymore. I took in Black Widow with Quake and Hawkeye, both synergies boosting ability accuracy. Not once did she bypass Safeguard. My alliance mates tried with their Elektras and Karnaks. Same result.
Has anyone else had this issue? Not necessarily the ability accuracy not working, but not working against Safeguard specifically.
Because if this is legit, 4.5 Immune Rhino just became not worth my time or effort.
