The Punishers disappearance

So I'm pretty sure it's safe to say that the Punisher not being in any state of the contest things is no coincidence. But why isn't he on there. Has he found a way to escape? Has be actually just been lost in the contest never to be found again? There's got to be a reason. He hasn't even been mentioned in any EQ since the Punisher vs Carnage one. Where has he been?

I remember Punisher 2099 was a more leading roll in the Contest of Champions comics, like the Maestro.

I may be wrong with this but I do remember that when punisher 2099 was coming out certain people were saying he could be The new big boss like maestro since he did play a big role in a comic series
I could be wrong since I took a break when he came out

So far the most he has done was show up in every single **** chapter as a Ambush back during Same EQ we got Red Skull with.
