Reverse Controls not always applying

Just lost my Fury vs NC on reverse controls as I was in the mindset for reverse only for it not to apply at all, not the 30s RC node, the full RC node. Applied fine when I went back in with Havok so confused af rn.
Am I missing something with Fury, or is this just yet another screw up?

Reverse controls are a defensive ability? Seems more like an offensive ability.
