Any reason why Corvus would survive an sp3 when already at 1%?

Map 5, node 47 defender. I brought him to 1% with a combo and finished with an sp3. I had all but put my phone down and saw he was still alive:) I believe this is the second time I've seen this. What am I missing? Glad hulk clearly threw him across the stage against a wall.. then did his leaping hammer down. I'm no expert but I'd say it counts as a "knock down":) Yet he had 4 active glaive charges and was alive when the animation ended.

    Unfortunately I won't be doing another map 5 for several days, but I'll try to record the next one. Pretty sure this isn't the first time. I think the last time I just assumed I wasn't paying attention or something. This time it was really clear. Because I almost got attacked cause I let my guard down thinking he was dead:)
