Auto alliance feature

Does anyone know how the Auto alliance feature works? Does it give the alliance the first available member or does it give the alliance a member that is close to the teams skill level

It feels like first available to a degree

It could be better.
Add filters for language and time zone for instance.
Added bonus if you could filter by gold 1/2/3 for instance.
Recruiting is tough and these filters would make recruiting much easier.

I tried it out, I keep being put in alliances that didn’t speak english, but many members were at same skill level or should I say pi.
