Hold on to those 5* shards

Eventually all champs will be released as 5* heroes, so I don't really see the point in spending 5k more shards for someone who will eventually be released as a standard crystal

Same reason why people spend 50 extra units on a featured, it's just the concept of having an exclusive champ early.

With 5 star featured, you have a 20% chance at Iceman for example, vs a 1.5% chance when he's in the regular crystal

True true, featured crystals have the sub-featured pool too but their chance is estimated to be lower than the featured

Ya but when you're going for a feature it's to go for one specific champ, where the odds are at least 12 times as good as they will ever be to get that champ in the future, hence it being a gamble and only worth it for the true game changing champs
