The class trips don't count towards 22hr event completion

So I'd love to know why the 22 hours solo event "quest completion" never includes the monthly side missions. This month (july/august 2019) the class trips are the side quest and they are exactly like almost all the other quests, they use energy per node, they have multiple paths and they have champion requirements, where as the daily class event does class, but yet I've ran the last 2 chapters to 100% today but have gotten zero points towards the 22 hour quest completion event, I'm just very curious as to why it's that way.
