My game has not been updated yet. Is it normal?

There are just a few hours left to the next monthly event quest and my opening screen is still the same. In the last few months it was always updated in a day or two before the event so I am worried. I checked my apple store - nothing yet - and restared my phone and nothing happened.

I am living in Japan. Is it normal and can I play the event quest as everyone else?

    Are you iOS? I had the same issue, go to the update section in the App Store and swipe down to refresh the updates.
